The story of a photographer

Hi I’m Vicky the owner and photographer at Victoria_mcauley_photography in Bramhall and I’m so excited that you have found your way to me.

I’ve loved Photography ever since I was a kid, begging my mum and dad on my birthday for a camera. They happily obliged with a bright purple camera supported with a snazzy green crocodile on the front, it was a wonderful old film camera! From back in the days when you had to take your film to the shop, wait a whole week for your photos to come back only to discover my 8 year old finger in half the shots! Well Practice makes perfect. ☺️

Along with photography travel was my other passion and it led me to the glorious open skies, where I was a Cabin Crew member for 14 whole years. Being blessed to get paid to travel the world and soak up the sun was definitely one of my favorite past times (and the old film camera always made its way into my suit case) But what goes up must come down and after we said goodbye to Monarch in 2017, I said Hello to professional photography.

This period really kickstarted my career as a professional photographer and I feel like I have grown not only as a photographer but as a person. I can now be found part of the week working in a busy boudoir photography studio, a job I adore being able to empower woman and help them see just how beautiful they are. Worried you won’t feel comfortable in front of the camera ? I spend my days making gorgeous ladies feel comfortable and confident in their underwear! The rest of the week is taken up with duties such as taxi driving, cooking, cleaning, teaching, comforting, cuddling and laughing with my own little tribe of 5! Oh and of course capturing images for you beautiful people….
